take my hand and climb with me…

two hundred and forty four degrees: ‘when winter comes…’

Ice Age ~ Pete Yorn

two hundred and forty four

the weakest component

undermines

the inherent integrity

of its entire

system

even the vast power

of the sun

is rendered

useless

by a battery

too old to hold

its charge

a black veil

is thrown

backwards through time

as darkness dominates

( unnecessarily )

by limiting

the light

*

Yet, through it all…
