take my hand and climb with me…

one hundred and twenty one degrees: ‘smoke from a lithium dream…’

Thin Blue Flame ~ Josh Ritter

one hundred and twenty one

Overberg, afire. Smoke chokes, the trees. Robs oxygen, from air. Burning billows,  scrim. Laced, through sky. Like dark veils, you wore. Covering both, eyes. Stymied, and stuck. Floundering, drunk. Nailed yourself, to a cross. But blamed, crucifixion. On me. Wild, impotent anger. Your own, inability. To act. Or see. You simply, repeated. Your father’s, fine. Curse.

Now he twists indecision, takes bourbon for rage…

    Wow, B.
I felt the words, right through the screen.
    And I love the title.

Thank you lovely lady muse! Such an amazing, epic song. Josh Ritter’s lines and music have rocked me through much heartache, and joy. Take a listen, I think you’ll LOVE him. Girl In The War is another all time favourite of mine. Lots of love to you, beside the sea. From here, beneath a tree! Bx

B, You make my heart smile. Thank You, for that, too.
I will definitely have a listen. I’ve got a good feeling he will become a favourite of mine, as well.
Huge Love and Hugs to You. Always.
