seventy degrees: ‘and you’ll ask yourself…’

Where Is My Mind? ~ Pixies

Unreal, day. Three felines set spinning, afternoon coffee. Fur fluffed, and bristling. Chaos, for sheep. Flocked, at the fence. Squeezing in protest. Hoof stomping, aggrieved. Cleaner birds, screeching. Cats regain courage, start stalking the livestock. Sheep, in retreat. Next up, police! Patrolling, the veld. In a van, dodging sheep. I wonder, whether I’m sleeping. Or dreaming. Fallen awake, acid trip movie. Leon Schuster, circus.

Clean up mess, try coffee again. Thor appears, hungry. Eats while I watch, sky changing colour. Light, psychedelic. Grab camera, and run. Through the field, to the tree. Cats bounding, after. Even the heathen. Learning to trust, run with the pack. Life in the country, tis trippy like this.

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground…

Thank you… as luck as the ‘owner’ is to have such a beautiful cat to photograph at sunset!

This is quite unreal, yes. Is that a silhouette of a person near the tree? 🙂
Thanks for liking one of my posts too.

Hi Candice. Thanks for stopping by – really enjoyed your post 🙂 It’s a tree stump would you believe: but so looks like a figure! Makes for interesting images…

We have everything we need. The trouble is, we want so much. Yet most of us are ill-equipped to embrace even what we have.

Thank you for sharing what you own. 🙂

Wise words and well pronounced… thank you John! Your images are magnificent and I love the idea of Thugs Like Us. I’m a huge fan of Gaiman’s The Sandman and other irreverent graphic novels like Preacher… so I look forward to reading/seeing more of yours. We’re made rich by those who value the heart of things and who walk beside us, however long, in this adventure of life. See you in trees 🙂 Love from the Overberg, Bx
