take my hand and climb with me…

forty degrees: ‘in a steady, illiterate movement homewards…’

This Side of the Blue – Joanna Newsom

Strange space, observing. Patriarchal order, regimented soul. Old pattern spiral, breaking need to do. Strangles thus the feminine, genteel oceans of allowing. Soft slow surrender, towards unknown balance. Feel machine, too deeply. Kneel down, heart to earth. Revolves ever inward, unravelling alone. Weird return journey, holy home inside One I rejected, sold to society. Hoped for what, I don’t know. Power, gold or glory? Though nothing there exists. Only place eternal, beats within the breast.

The rest of our lives will the moments accrue…

Thank you kindly for taking time to comment. Joanna really is amazing – lyrics look so flat when written on a page… her vocals have a way of making each word dance with extraordinary beauty!
