one hundred and thirty two degrees: ‘glad I didn’t die before I met you…’

First Day of My Life ~ Bright Eyes

one hundred and thirty two

Today, seven years. Ago. Certainty, evaporated. Sudden shock , struck. Twenty seven. Circuit blew, body blow. Brain reset, to zero. Hopeless. I, died.

Slowly, someone new. Emerges. To begin, again. Different, wild. Creative, alive. Celebrate this, little death. That saved, my life.

  1. To the small conversations we have with life, the tales and stories it wakes us to, and the many tints, shades, & colours it rescues of us along the way… Happy Seventh!

    • Hi Varun, thank you for your question. The orange streaks are part of the photo – they’re simply a series of candles shot by slowing down the shutter speed and then zooming in as quickly (and as smoothly) as possible. Glad you like the effect! I really enjoying playing with light and when I use my Nikon (instead of the iPhone) I always have it on manual so I have as much range to play as possible. Have a great evening – look forward to seeing more of your firework images – try this technique on them as I’m sure you’d get some amazing shots! All the best, Bx
